This is quite a nice route which we walked in reverse, from Tarporley to Tattenhall. Only one major road to cross and then a combination of fields and a stretch on the Shropshire Union Canal towpath. There's quite a few stiles across the fields....

Leaving the main road is lovely through fields with a route into Tarporley via quiet back lanes....
