Latest Updates
Here we cross to the unpaved road opposite, which we follow around, and then turn down a drive towards Ivy House Farm. The road is unpaved, so care is necessary, but once we're around the bend, it becomes paved as the housing reappears. Once we're past the station, we turn down an unpaved drive which becomes a footpath at the car park for the allotments....

From the Concourse, we follow the paved and tarmacced path through the woods of the Tawd Valley, passing from the valley and under a subway to the next estate of Pennylands. Another farmtrack across fields and passing woods, until we reach a paved road (narrow, with bushes that need a trim) and the Stanley Gate public house....

From Stanley Gate pub, along a paved road with goid crossings, but we're soon onto a footpath across fields, before joining another road just past an old windmill. Past the last farm, we join an unpaved road (a deadend, only serving the farm we just passed, so no traffic), and crossing a road and heading down some steps, before entering another field....

After a third of a mile, we're back into fields, before ending on the main road near Stanley Gate, a big pub on a busy crossroads. And those wishing to avoid the unpaved section should continue along Ormskirk Road from Scarth Hill; it's paved all the way to Stanley Gate....
