Some really lovely views along this route. Only one section with a busy road to cross. Some sections not easy for less mobile walkers but nothing too difficult....

The first part of the walk from South Cave to High Hunsley is lovely, mainly on the Wolds Way footpath....

Even walking the route in June after over a month with no rain, and with the tide low, it was very muddy and slippery meaning I had to scramble through the flood defence boulders rather than walk along the beach....

From South Cave the route soon joins the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Once you join the road (quiet country lane), you soon leave the Yorkshire Wolds Way and head to Walkington and then on to Beverley....

I’d give it 5 stars, but in places there are off-road footpath alternatives to avoid roadside sections that I’d preferably take and maximise the use of footpaths (though these probably add a bit of distance it’s worth it to maximise enjoyment)....
