Redruth and Truro both have plenty of ammenities and onward travel options so are good start and end points. Carharrack and Twelveheads serve as good places to stop on the route if required....

Stithians and Lanner, which are passed through on the route also have shops and other useful facilities if required. After descending into Lanner, there is another fairly steep climb on quiet roads, before a more gentle finish heading into Redruth....

Overall a very pleasant, fairly easy walk on lanes, tracks and open fields. Train travel back to start point via Truro available....

One option is to turn right and walk on the main road to reconnect. The preferable alternative is to turn left and soon take a right turn for a minor path/lane that crosses over the train line and then the A30....

Shortly after Twelveheads we saw signs for the National Cycle Route No 3 and followed that to Redruth as time was short and the footpath more challenging to follow....
