One option is to turn right and walk on the main road to reconnect. The preferable alternative is to turn left and soon take a right turn for a minor path/lane that crosses over the train line and then the A30....

This route has some pleasant sections, but does include a lot of on-road sections, one of which is dangerous. There is a section of disused tip GR SW 783502 where the footpath is obscure due to overgrowth and there are hidden pits filled with water...

We crossed easily 3 hours after high tide but would certainly be something to consider if walking from Perranporth as high tide would require a 4.5km detour inland along the official South West Coast Path. The official route climbs back up onto the cliffs and then down to the beach again at Perranporth itself but when the tide is out there is no need to do this....
