The track here was mainly hard surface and led to a road through housing, under the railway and a straight footpath to the railway station and the end of the walk....

Also at the roundabout there is an option to follow a good footpath next to the road which leads directly to Marske. On the approach to Marske the route joins the footpath next to the road for the walk into the town....

The route takes you under the train line and then finishes at the train station in Saltburn....

A lovely coastal walk from Redcar to Marske, done on a damp dull day, but with my walking pal in tow, it helped to burn off some Christmas excess and catch up with our news! If you're in a wheelchair, pushing a buggy, or just don't want a muddy walk the rest of this walk can be done easily and safely by walking along the pavement alongside the Coast Road, or you can walk over the grassy dunes as we did on clear paths until Marske is reached....

There are a few steep bits, and one gravelly part by the fields that may make it a little trickier, but overall a good route and better then the roads....

Route does use some busier roads and has a small section beneath the raikway line where no pavement exists but most is safe. Terrain prohibits disabled access. An enjoyable quiet walk....

The path through the allotments at the start (walking from Saltburn) is used by walkers and cyclists and is a designated bridleway. The route would be possible for wheelchairs but quite tough going back to Saltburn from Marske as it is a slow climb most of the way....
