Help connect Liphook
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Liphook’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates
A very nice route, although the GPX trail is not very accurate in places, just follow the obvious paths and you should be ok. Run in Feb 23, sections were very muddy/wet although they should dry up in the summer. Couple of kissing gates making it not suitable for larger buggies/wheelchairs...

- I agree that a slight change to the route to avoid some of the B2070 on the approach to Rake would be more sensible. As others have said, just utilise the road alongside the primary school to approach Rake, rather than having to cross and walk along the busy B road. - The walk along Harting Combe Road (south of Hill Brow) was the least walking friendly section of the route for me. Although quieter than a B-road, walking the route this way round meant a short uphill section with a couple of blind bends....

The route is particularly nice in its variety: some sections in woodland, some out in fields, lots of beautiful heathland....
Oliver
Lovely walk mainly following the Serpent Way path. Not suitable for wheelchairs and even off-road buggies might struggle. Several sets of steps and narrow bridges....
codesmon
It follows a mix of the Serpent Trail and Sussex Border Path, but you need to be careful as you keep swapping and need to be ready to turn off onto other footpaths too....
Penny
Ran this from Bordon back to Liphook today, it is a very muddy route, with a long road section outside Bordon that is unlit, fast, with no pavements and not always easy to step off the road. Not really suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs and the mud would make either very difficult later in the route. The route as described by the GPX file cannot be followed, there are too few points and the straight lines between them are not always on actual paths, never mind rights of way....
codesmon
Generally this is a good route, but there are a couple of points where a slight modification would make it safer to walk, as there are a few road sections / crossing points that are a bit dangerous or tricky. A slight route change along the side road at SU 80865 27979 might be preferable....
