At Boyton Hall Farm there is a sign stating 'no public access' even though this is Roxwell Footpath 80 (from Essex highways map)....

Between Great Canfield and Bacon End the footpath marked on the map would take you through the crop but parallel to this is a field track marking the boundary between two crops which is much easier to walk on and takes you to the same end point. If walking from Dunmow to Leaden Roding you would need to go left from where the footpath crosses the road, follow the edge of the field until you meet the track....
