The path later follows a field edge before crossing to a stile along an invisible path. Leaving the road the path follows the field edge then enters the edge of a wood, not well used but clear and pleasant....

Shops etc at Armitage but if not required, best stay on the canal towpath. A short detour north to meet the canal where a slope offers access while steps provide a direct route, but later this is not a route for wheels. But it's not all doom and gloom, there is also a field with the path clearly marked and clear of the emerging crop. Again no marked path on the approach to the road where a fingerpost hides in the hedge to confirm I've found the correct point. A short section of road where the verge can offer a refuge but the tarmac makes for easier walking....

The little path down to the old bridge could easily be missed, but it was a welcome break from the main road. Bondfield Lane is easily reached and we go straight on most of the way to Main Road then right along a well used path that leads through a park to Yoxall, where we go straight on to the main road and follow it left to the rather poorly sited meeting point at the entrance to the church (no seats and no bus stops, but there are both a little further south)....

The route out of Lichfield is easy to follow if you trust the GPX - Curborough Road has a good pavement, and the path from St Catherines Road to the underpass under Western Road is clear and well used, though not shown on the OS map. Beyond the underpass we go right on a good path through the trees then left over a little bridge onto another well used field path....

The only route is alongside the road so loses one star for me....

At Orgreave, there is a misleading footpath sign that points towards the A513 when you should turn left through the Orgreave gates towards the gas station. Photo 3 - As path swings left head straight on across field on RHS to start with Don't go straight on turn left through the iron gates you see here looking back from where you came...

On reaching civilisation, the Trent and Mersey Canal at Handsacre, I felt a sense of relief. You soon leave the canal to follow the high streets through Handsacre and then Armitage. The walk from the canal to the meeting place in Rugeley is short and unremarkable....

Fox Lane (which came at the end of my walk from Kings Bromley to Lichfield) was firm but very uneven and from local knowledge I know it get quite boggy....

Walk this routeWhere this route differs from Kinyox One is that rather than continuing to follow the main road it takes a footpath off to the left which takes you over the Trent and into a lane then via a series of well mowed footpaths, delivers you to the edge of Yoxall. Kinyox Two, having crossed a local park, then takes a footpath that goes around the main part of Yoxall....

Were it not for the dangerous stiles (all featured on the "Way for the Millennium" walk) I would submit a new version with the section in Hill Ridware corrected....

Walk this routeI walked it from the Alrewas end which starts very nicely through the village and then follows a fairly straight well marked footpath across flat wide open farmland....

Walk this routeI think this route has the edge over Lickin One, especially as part of Lickin One is shut until June 2021. A safer flatter more open route between Lichfield and Elmhurst and then the same route to Kings Bromley...

Please use Kinalr Two instead which is exactly the same route save for a small diversion to use a clearer path....
