It removes the three flights of steps, and tidies up the route near the B n Q warehouse. I'm sure there are nicer routes into Swindon, but it will need a more local walker to compile. Care needs to be taken in crossing the busy A and B roads, and navigating the Magic Roundabout....

Having followed the Swihig route down B4143 Bridge End Rd, you then encounter a flight of 30 steps down to the railway, and then a bridge over the railway, with its 40 steps up, and 40 steps down....

A delightful route incorporating a quiet section of the Thames path between Inglesham and Lechlade....

When the bridle path meets the main road and Thames Path, take the right route heading east along the Thames Path (3rd photo)....

There are two high styles with longer step downs than usual, one between Sevenhampton and Shrivenham and the other between Bourton and Ashbury. The bridge accross River Cole between Sevenhampton and Shrivenham looks a little precarious but it is acctually very solid....

At Dog kennel copse there's a two feet step down to the field from the wooden bridge due to a step missing....

A good Slow Way with an impressive amount of off-road paths considering one end is Swindon (about half off-road paths, about half sidewalks/pavements near Swindon)....
