Nice to pass Blackpill Lido - anyone doing this route on a hot day, don't miss the free lido - perfect for a wade around in the shallows and an ice cream from the kiosk....

Recommend Station 86 in Gowerton for all-day breakfast, and they gave us our drinks on the house since we were doing the good work of creating a walking network!...

It mostly follows a dismantled railway line that snakes through nature reserves and woods, including Clyne Wood....

This is a good route that's flat and easy to follow. It follows a dismantled railway line and the Gower Way. I'd 100% walk it again....

Walk this routeA varied route with a bit of pavement through the village, some lengths of slightly muddy track and a very peculiar sections of lane where the road is single track but with on road cycle paths either side which was moderately well used by traffic and needed me to tuck into the verge quite a few times....

I started at the Gorseinion end and there was a brief navigation confusion as the waymarked sign post had been turned about and what the map said looked like it was leading me to an industrial estate - but the path was very quickly obvious and very pleasant once on it....

Excellent route as not only do we get the excellent cycle path down Clyne Valley but also the might Railway pub near Upper Killay! Easy and straightforward and often scenic....
