Still, we walked the route that's shown here which takes that two-sides-of-a-triangle up Gopa Hill, and although longer than the Clyne Valley route it was really nice....

Recommend Station 86 in Gowerton for all-day breakfast, and they gave us our drinks on the house since we were doing the good work of creating a walking network!...

The southern half is largely on the Gower Way and on a dismantled railway line....

This is a good route that's flat and easy to follow. It follows a dismantled railway line and the Gower Way. I'd 100% walk it again....

Walk this routeI started from the Swansea end and the Gorseinon-Fforestfach stretch starts promisingly but has waymarkers lost is a sea of undergrowth and I lost the path entirely after they disappeared and had to turn back....

Unexciting but safe walk through largely quiet built up areas. Reasonable routing choices have been made via quieter lanes in places....

I started at the Gorseinion end and there was a brief navigation confusion as the waymarked sign post had been turned about and what the map said looked like it was leading me to an industrial estate - but the path was very quickly obvious and very pleasant once on it....

Clear, straightforward on cycle track for most of way. Well labelled....

May have to leave Swansea along a horrid A road but can soonneasy divert off this to the east and follow more or less parallel quieter road....
