Help connect Evesham
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Evesham’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates
I walk this route on a regular basis (I get the bus to Pershore and walk back to Evesham) I agree with the comment about the road section being dangerous after the Jubilee bridge (after Fladbury) heading to Charlton....

Required diversion: Slow Way's initial route crosses the River Isbourne just west of the A46's river bridge at Sedgeberrow. (From Beckford to Evesham: keep going north on Cheltenham Road until over the river bridge, then turn left into a gap in the hedge opposite The Hollows). Optional diversion: We chose to turn delay our left turn off Pershore Road Hampton until Brookside, immediately west of the River Isbourne bridge....

It’s easy to take the wrong path: from Pershore keep left after the first lake. Where Ryden Lane finally becomes a road follow the signed footpath left leading quite steeply down to the river where the chain ferry operates most days (£1)....

I've walked it several times and find it a safe route...

Between Brentforton and Honeybourne the footpath goes through the poly tunnels in the market garden (some ruts and rough bits to cross). The style at the Honeybourne end of the market garden is damaged, walk left to the field gate instead. Generally a very nice walk, lots of autumn wild fruit in the hedgerows (damson, blackbury)....

This route includes passing along Wickhamford Lane. It is Not designated as a Public Right of Way, although there are good reasons as to why it should be. Its on the Ramblers list of Lost Ways....
