Help connect Eggborough

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Eggborough’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates

It was pleasant to see a mixed used of the landscape and great to see working farms in operation....

Steve Brewis

Walk this route

The route was enjoyable and overall easy to navigate, except for a misleading large NO ENTRY sign ( with a small footpath sign alongside that is easy to miss). There is also a bridge over a dyke that needs attention. An interesting area on the walk was the canal side at Whitley Lock....

Walk this route

A short walk alongside the canal was good. I would be happy to walk it again and I am happy to suggest it to other people....

Brian Naylor

A pleasant walk through the countryside with canal side and river side stretches to enjoy....
