Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Coverack’s Slow Ways.

I really enjoyed this walk, such varied landscape and terrain. Definitely a couple of steep and challenging sections, which weren't too long though....

It looks like it is the most direct route and is certainly a very beautiful route as well. It does not follow the SW coast path all the way, in fact it starts by taking a different route out of Lizard village through pathways, fields and woodlands. One path was on top of a hedge which I didn't realise at first so went slightly off the route before going back and seeing the stones to climb up to join the very narrow path....

Some of the paths were a little overgrown, but passable...

My top tip is that there is a signal to tell the ferry man that you would like to catch a ride -yellow to call him over....

We walked this route, really enjoyable, some steep challenging sections after st. Keverne. Also there's a section after helford passage (after the ferry) that is impassable and we had to re-route to get down to durgan....

I really enjoyed this walk, the different terrain of coast path, fields and track is great....

Starting at Coverack there are good facilities, cafe, toilet, etc and direct bus connection from Truro....
Paul Haines
Not a recommended route and the alternative Helston to Coverack route also crosses the Downs....
Laura
Arguably the best route to take when travelling between these two locations, passing along lovely beaches and coves that make for perfect resting (or swimming) spots. It's only possible by foot; there are a few steep sections to descend/climb and numerous step/stone/squeeze/Cornish along the way....
