Walking along a small section of busy road you join part of the national trail ‘the Viking way’ through fields and then taking Horkstow road (a quiet road with no paths) into Barton. 4* due to the small section you have to walk along a main road....

Crossing the busy A18 can be hazardous although you could choose to miss the stop at Morrison's out and cross Brigg Road near Ashbyville instead. Refreshments in Broughton....
