Help connect Beaminster
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Beaminster’s Slow Ways.

Helen Gough added Axmbea two, a new walk from Axminster to Beaminster
Walk this routeThis is a great route that crosses Dorset AONB, but has fantastic views leaving Chard as well. There were 2 minor points, firstly leaving Chard on Chardstock Lane, the route cuts the corner by going through a field, but when I walked it there were crops across it....
Helen Gough
In places the signage isn't very good so it isn't always clear which route you should take....
Helen Gough
Some of the tracks are rough underfoot and the route is not suitable for wheelchairs....

Helen Gough added Crebea two, a new walk from Crewkerne to Beaminster
Walk this routeOut of beaminster up onto Common Water lane can be very muddy with the path non-existent....
Maurice Atkinson
There is an easier path into Mosterton from North Buckham farm by walking via Cheddington Lane and not turning via Bakers Mill farm...
Maurice Atkinson
There are a lot of gates on this walk, many of them large field gates as it is a bridleway, as well as small gates and a few stiles on footpath sections. Not too much road....
