Help connect Bampton
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Bampton’s Slow Ways.

I agree with the previous comments - an enjoyable and interesting walk, flat with no stiles. On the day we walked the whole route was dry underfoot. Also the firing range at RAF Brize Norton was in use, so for some of the walk you could hear that....

I walked this route from Witney to Bampton, the opposite direction to the previous reviewer. I agree with all the points made: in particular the comment about the footpath beside Barleypark Farm. I walked this in May and it was getting overgrown - secateurs might be useful if walking later in the year, and I'd recommend leg coverings as there were quite a lot of nettles....
