Description
Safer version of Yoxbur One. Sets out from Yoxall to Woodhouses via footpaths rather than the most dangerous section of the B5016. From Woodhouses there is some road walking along a lane and then the B5016 although these sections are straight, open and have a verge to step on to. Near Hollyhurst House you pick up a straight footpath as far as Dunstall walking through the grounds of the house along the public footpath. From Dunstall is a short stint of more road walking but along a calmer lane. Shortly after that you pick up a footpath which takes you to the site of an old quarry. The paths are all extremely well marked and you get views and can hear Branston Water Park. At Branston you join the Trent and Mersey Canal which you follow all the way into Burton. You leave the canal at Shobnall Marina. From there you follow pavements until you reach the meeting place outside Burton Railway Station

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
