23 Jan 2024Walked this from Burton to Yoxall - enjoyable route once out of Burton, which was the reason I walked it that way. Would have been 4 stars without the long walk into Yoxall on the road, very busy with no pavement and some quite steep sides to the road - so no option to step out of they way of traffic, doing it again I would follow YOXBUR2 and cut off onto a less busy road and more field footpaths. But very scenic walk and for the time of year not too muddy.

27 Feb 2022We had been warned on pain of death not to use Yoxbur one and the bus to Yoxall was very good conformation of this advice. Yoxbur 2 avoids this and took us instead through the pleasant Yoxall Community Allotments and Woodland.

13 Jun 2021DO NOT USE. The section from Yoxall to Woodhouses follows the 60mph B5016. It is a main road also used by cars and buses. There is no pavement and sections including a blind corner with no verge. There is an alternative route using a footpath which I will submit shortly avoiding this very unsafe section. Beyond Woodhouses it was a very pleasant walk.
