Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

14 Nov 2021Would have been five stars but for the seemingly pointless detour into Himley. The South Staffordshire Railway Route is the best thing about this route so as I followed the route I was sorry to leave it. The toughest road to cross of the day was the B4176, very fast, very busy. The section of Himley you walk through has no pub nor shops. I'm aware from the map that there is one in Himley but if you've already left it to the walker to spot that and decide to divert from the Slow Way, why not let them make that decision from the Old Railway and save a double crossing of a bad road. The crossing back was even worse. A pointless and slightly dangerous diversion. I'd recommend Womkin two.
