Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

08 Oct 2021I have reviewed the first part of the walk from Wiveliscombe to Bishops in the walk: WivBis. That part of the walk was accurate, very scenic and accessible for dogs but not wheeled transport.
The section between Bishops Lydeard and Taunton had a couple of issues which is why I have only given 3 stars.
At the end of Quantock View keep going until a gate is reached rather than turning down a gap between the houses which is what the street map shows.
The route has stiles and gates which would not be suitable for push chairs or mobility scooters.
If the walker is nervous of dogs, this route may not be a good one as there are two farmyards to cross where dogs were encountered. In one farmyard there was a loose dog which although not unfriendly it barked continuously. With planning it may be possible to circumnavigate those farmyards.
