10 Nov 2021This was a very pleasant walk, fairly straight forward to navigate using the tips already provided in earlier reviews. We took the route through South Leigh churchyard which is signposted to Eynsham and is well signed. If the Church is open it is worth a look inside at the wall paintings.

10 Oct 2021I agree with the previous reviews - a pleasant walk with a bus service connecting the ends. It isn't practical for anything with wheels; kissing gates, stiles and steps all exist and aren't really avoidable, and the terrain isn't suitable (narrow, can be muddy).
One unusual feature is that the route passes through a solar farm to the west of Eynsham.
Tricky turns
After crossing Cogges Hill Road, the route kinks leftward. After the kissing gate, there are two paths; the route is the rightward one.
A previous reviewer mentioned walking across a planted field. In October, when I walked this, the crop has been harvested; the path is again not obvious on the ground, though the distance across the field isn't great and the sign gives a reasonable indication of the direction (towards the corner of the field). You can walk via the road (not a long detour) into the village of South Leigh.

30 Apr 2021This is a beautiful route through sparsely populated farmland, linking two historic and lively settlements that are also connected by bus services. The route was generally easy to follow. But around South Leigh the route was not clear: to avoid walking across a planted arable field with no obvious path, I ended up diverging slightly and crossing the churchyard there, but the way into the churchyard had a small fixed stone barrier that would be impassable for people in wheelchairs, etc.

30 Apr 2021We lost the path a few times but that was more our fault and at times there are plenty of ways to choose. And a few tweaks and this could be fully bikeable which is great. Not so keen on the road section it was quiet apart from the noise from the A40 but all in all a good walk.
