Description
This follows the same way as indicated in WidBov(one) that is along the Templar way between Haytor Vale and Challacombe farm and roads between Bovey Tracey town centre and Challacombe. This route however takes a more northerly route between Haytor Vale and Widecombe. This route is off road, rather than using the B3387 and utilizes the old Granite tramway to the disused quarries to the north of at Holwell Tor and a clear but rugged path down to the stone clapper bridge over the Becka Brook. There is a clearly marked trail through the woods between Becka Brook and the road crossing and cattle grid at Holwell lawn. The path across Bonehill down is easy to follow in either direction and the road between Widecombe and Bonehill Rocks is fairly quiet with grass verge options for most of the route. The only refreshment opportunities are slightly off the route at Haytor Vale, with a cafe and a pub

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
