Description
This route mostly follows the Crab and Winkle cycle path and is cyclable for its entire route. Perhaps it is accessable for a wheelchair user, it probably is for a pushchair user and if walking a with a dog make sure it is on a short lead. This route is popular and is used by fast moving cyclists. I have uploaded this route because of comments in one of the reviews about the inclusion of unnecessary and muddy footpaths. This path is maintained and monitored by Sustran

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 May 2023I have walked this route many times, it is fairly quick and very well signposted as it follows National Cycle Route 1. The surfaces are mostly flat and easy to walk on (i.e. compacted gravel or concrete, etc). There are a few dirt paths and in the summer these can be a little narrow due to weeds. There a couple of minor ascents and descents, but again these are well paved.

02 Jan 2024I know this route very well - Whican 3 is the best version but there are a few small tweaks which would improve it:
1. The current route follows Old Bridge Road in Whitstable, but there is a good footpath adjacent to the railway tracks.
2. The route doesn't follow the start of Invicta Way... Not sure why it crosses All Saints Close at all
