Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Aug 2021A good pleasant walk avoiding the main roads that have heavy traffic. The tow path can be muddy and have large puddles in wet weather. The alternative route passing Broadwater is quieter, with nice views of the lake, but not so interesting.

29 May 2021A pleasant, mostly riverside, walk. The section from the river at Elmbridge Canoe Club could be an issue for those using mobility aids as there are 2 Kissing Gates on path however an alternative route heading towards Weybridge would be continuing along by the river towpath and then follow Thames Street under to the Weybridge waymark.
At the Walton end, it would be better to towpath until the broad steps up to River Mount and Thames Street to the Walton waymark.

05 May 2021Much of this route is part of a popular circuit using the Thames towpath. It is well-maintained, wide along much of the length. Can be puddled in wet weather.
There are two gates - large kissing-date style - on the section that connects to the towpath from Weybridge town.
I have walked it many times.
