11 Mar 2022At the present time (March 2022) there's quite a bit of building work around Paddington Station, and some entrances to the station are closed. But this is a nice enough walk; as other reviewers have noted, it does have a significant flight of steps from Bishop's Bridge Road to the canal, but the diversion mentioned is fine.
This route works well with adjacent Slow Ways.

06 Feb 2022I walked from Paddington to Westbourne Park.
This is a quick direct walk avoiding the busiest roads. The Paddington Station is lovely but tricky to navigate.
For a step free route exit the station turn right and right again to join the plotted route, this walk is then suitable for wheel chairs.

05 Dec 2021I walked this route from Paddington and I really enjoyed it!
A few notes:
- I found it a bit tricky to navigate through Paddington Station, but I followed the signs “to taxis” and then “to grand union canal” and I think that got me where I needed to go!
- it was a bit disappointing to come out to the canal and then not get to follow it, but the walk through the quiet residential streets was more direct and just as pleasant.
- the train spotter in me loved passing over the Paddington tracks!
Overall, I was really pleased! Great route.

01 Jul 2021Good direct Route.
Timing based on brisk walking, no time to pat the dog.
At the end need to go down the escalator after the taxi rank at the station.
