15 Oct 2022It's a route I walked reasonable often, but only now I walked it as part of a Slow Ways adventure. The route as drawn has the crossing points at a little bit different place then what I would take near Harrow Road (this one has two pedestrian crossings, but you can do it in one) — but I do have lots of experience here. It is now also possible to go from Hansel Road straight onto a new footpath towards Cambridge Road without having to take a zig-zag across Carlton Value.
Strider
06 Feb 2022I walked from Westbourne Park to Kilburn.
Another short SlowWay typical of the others in the area. Pavement walking, suitable for wheelchairs, wide smooth undulating paths away from the busiest of roads.

30 Jan 2022A reasonably direct, serviceable, Slow Ways route between two inner London stations, which will get you there with no fuss.
It's not especially scenic, except perhaps where it crosses the grand union canal at Westbourne Park, but it's a good connecting route for anyone heading in this direction. And there aren't really any scenic alternatives in this part of London.
There are a couple of places where the route goes a longer way round a road crossing than necessary, rather than choosing a more direct approach, which is a very minor quibble indeed and certainly not enough to warrant a remake imo.
4 stars.

04 Jan 2022I walked this from Westbourne Park to Kilburn. It was a pretty typical London route, following pavements through largely residential areas.
There were a few patches of vibrant commercial activity that were fun to walk through, and some nice patches of greenery, too!
My favorite part of the route was what felt to me like sneaking off the main road at the Kilburn end and emerging at the Kilburn High Road station! I was surprised to see it, and it was therefore fun to explore my local area with this route.
