Description

A desk top design so not tested, archive pictures. It uses a main road out of Wellingborough but there is a pavement and it passes close to the hospital. Its then onto the river side path so perhaps a possibility of flooding but this is the recreational route 'Nene Way' so should be clear and signed all the way to Higham Ferrers. It's also shorter than the original

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Starts as pavement then a grassy track next to the river, overgrown at some points but overall an enjoyable walk across the meadows.

Track from the Embankment in Wellingborough is good until you cross
Ditchford Lane when it becomes overgrown but it is passable wearing long trousers!
Route well marked as part of Nene Way.

    Hello Val
Can you submit this as a review rather than a comment so that it works towards a verified, snailed, route. Thanks.
Overgrown is something we have to deal with, you could report it to the council if it's really bad.
