Description

A variation of Watwiv1 which enters and leaves watchet on the west side. Equally as good as Watwiv 1 but utilizing the excellent walk in the woods to the south of the charming village of Roadwater. The flat footpath alongside the railtrack is used between Washford and Watchet. This route makes and excellent alternative If connecting with Watbis1, as you dont retrace your steps in and out of Watchet

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

A very enjoyable route with fine views throughout. Some road walking on quiet roads and some stiles. One footpath issue north of Old Holcombe Water farm crossing a fence near Galloping woods. I could not see any stile or gate. The fence is however easy to stride over. The rest of the path however is ingood condition and easy to follow.
