Description
This is a great route, largely following the Thames River. It's almost identical to Watmon one, but it fixes two spots where the plotting was inaccurate. This route is hopefully more accurate and followable!

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 May 2022Love this route! Very easy to follow as it mostly runs alongside the river Thames. Offers amazing views of London landmarks, including St Pauls Catherdral, the Monument, the London Eye and Big Ben.

06 May 2022A great simple and iconic route between the Monument and Waterloo that takes you past the Tate Modern and The Golden Hinde.
If the Monument is open it's well worth a trip up the 311 steps to the top for the views.
If you can, take Mike's diversion up/down the steps.
This is one of the top London routes. Works in both directions as well.

26 Feb 2022I walked this route from Monument to Waterloo Station after dark on a Friday evening. It was generally very well-lit and well-trafficked with people enjoying the waterside!
From Monument, you can cross the bridge on either side of the road. If you cross on the west side, you can use the pedestrian signal on the other side.
To get down to Montague Close, there's a set of stone steps in the front of the building along the east side of the London Bridge approach.
Then, it's a mostly straightforward walk along the water to Waterloo Station. There's always lots going on along the South Bank, and there's so much variation in the scenery. It's always a fun walk!
A great route: straightforward, flat, beautiful, interesting, fun. Full marks.
