13 Sep 2022 Summer

I walked from Walthamstow to Ilford.
After a busy road the path goes through quiet streets to trendy Walthamstow Village with few cars. This is followed by a long cycle path past Whipps Cross Hospital between parkland and a busy road. Take the underpass under the Greenman roundabout. The gates to Henry Reynold Garden are locked on the Northside so you have to walk around. In Bush Wood follow the path (there are many) to the East side and on to Wanstead Park, a lovely open space. Again there are lots of paths to choose from, take care. The Cycle path on the East side does not really look like a cycle path, narrow and muddy in places. After passing under the railway there is the busy A118 going uphill to Ilford station. Shops and coffee.
A lovely walk with lots of interest.
