Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

19 Sep 2021Starting from Great Barr the route soon crosses the magnificent Red House Park and a path through woods leads to road which passes under the M6. Not far from there a series of foopaths deliver you across the countryside from Great Barr and into Walsall. The route is mainly by residential pavement as far as Delves Green. On the other side of the large green space the first stops and shops appear. The areas are residential and busy and although not exactly scenic, the walk was pleasant enough. I even had a couple of buzzards fly overhead. The streets get busier as the suburban becomes urban. The route is very easy to follow and is direct. There were no difficult roads to cross without crossings. Direct, safe and as offroad as it can be. A very good Slow Way.
