12 Jan 2024January 2024. Direction: Pengam to Treharris.
Definitely a walk of two halves. The first half being the road from Pengam to Gelligaer and the section along Heol Adam, which is a mountain road, but very busy on the day of my walk. It was nice to get off the road and out into the fields for the second half of the walk down into Trelewis, followed by another short length through fields leading into Treharris. The field sections is not that well signed but there are lots of gates and styles along the way, though in a couple of places along the way, you can`t see the next gate or style, so some care is needed with the direction here. Overall, a good Slow Way.

06 Jan 2022First Slowway of the year and it was a cracker. Beautiful crisp winters day, still some snow on the ground (and plenty of mud) with some first class views.
Lost a star because of the walk up to Gelligaer from Pengam (which I've never been a fan of) but from Gelligaer onwards the walk is great.
No problems with the route, but lots of stiles, kissing gates and mud so not suitable for wheels.
