Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

09 Sep 2022September 2022. Direction: Tonypandy to Porth.
Access problems again on the mountain path. The route is fine on the first part, and leaving Penygraig on the first part of the mountain path, but the access problems are around the Graigddu Farm. There are gates that are tied and the path leads nowhere after the first field after the farm. At this time of year, the bracken and brambles are in overdrive and I spent an hour trying to find a way through, but ended up going back through the farm and then down on to the main A4058 road, which is very busy and not really consistent with the Slow Ways ethos. I`ll flag this as a "no", but could not see any realistic alternative without a lengthy detour.
