Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

29 Sep 2022September 2022. Direction: Tonyrefail to Pontypridd.
An excellent route, but there were a couple of access issues along the way. I`ve classed this as a "maybe", since it may just be the overgrown paths at this time of year.
The path goes through some really nice and varied scenery, but the access issues are as follows:
1. Just after Tre-Boeth Farm at the end of the second field, the path seems to disappear. There is a path marker, but I could find a style. The path was way overgrown with himalayan balsam and brambles, which was difficult to break through in places, so I ended up hopping a fence. I couldn`t re-join the route until after Bwlch Gwyn Farm.
2. There`s a nice green lane after Tyla Winder Farm, which winds around to another farm or establishment not shown on the map. There is a kissing gate to get out on to the road, but it was tied. At least it was easy to undo to allow access.
Apart from the above, it was a pleasant walk, finishing off down the winding rural lane (Gelliwion Road) into Ponty. The paths were reasonably well sign-posted at first, but this ran out after a while
