This route was entirely road walking along roads with no footpath. Whilst there is always interest in the hedgerows and fields I could not ho estly say this was a walk I would choose to do on its own merits. If you need to walk from Sandtoft to Thorne then it's OK.

I did part of this route while planning a long distance walk Sheffield to Hornsea. Walking along the Sandoft Road was unpleasant- fast traffic and no pavement or space to walk away from the road. There is a pleasant path along the canal Thorne to Crowle if you don't need to go to Sandoft.
