Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

02 May 2024I thought the walk was ok, didn’t take as long as I thought and nice going from the estates through the quieter back paths.
There is a couple of places you need to walk that have no foot paths including hall lane and cross a busy road (Reepham Road), which was ok the time I walked it but having driven that way it can get quite busy so something to be aware of.
The directions of the route are clear and easy to follow.
I probably wouldn’t walk this route again for that reason but I’m glad I did the walk and would recommend to others just be aware of this.

15 Feb 2024The section of Marriott’s Way accessed via Isbet’s Dale can get extremely muddy after wet weather, so if you don’t want muddy boots it may be worth keeping on Kingswood Avenue then turning left down Pendlesham Rise to pick up Marriott’s Way a bit further along!
The section of Hall Lane leading from the junction with Drayton Lane to Reepham Road has no pavement and there is traffic calming, so you need to be aware of vehicles approaching from both directions.
Finally, once you come off the foot/cycle path leading from the NDR to Horsham St Faith, the route tells you to turn right down Abbey Road and then take a left down some narrow streets which can involve a bit of traffic dodging. You can actually go straight on past Abbey Road and turn right at the top of West Lane, and end up at the same spot.
Good route with a few little niggles - should be fine for most if you bear in mind the points above.
