Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 May 2021Easy to follow and largely flat. Only one unpaved section, along the canal from Jersey Marine to Port Tenant and you could follow the route of the cycle path alongside the main road as an alternative if needed.
It's flat enough that I'd scoot or cycle it in preference to walking another time.
The stretch from Briton Ferry to Jersey Marine is a slightly dull flog alongside the dual carriageway but no ready alternative presents itself and the pavement is a safely wide shared cyclepath.
There's no real need to come off the canal path at Giant's Grave - it continues all the way to under the road bridge - it's well waymarked and frequently used although doesn't appear on the OS as a right of way.
The approach into Swansea is way more scenic than the road route over a pretty suspension bridges.
