Description
I created this route because SUTNOR 1 cannot be followed on the ground, because the Fledborough Viaduct over the River Trent extends for some distance either side of the river, passing well above the riverside paths which are not connected with it. This route is my attempt to resolve these issues by using more of the cycle track path that crosses the viaduct.
I have now test walked it, and I still have some doubts that the route is optimal, in particular the route from Harby to Eagle is on field paths that are a little tricky to follow, so there is probably scope for further refinement, but note that the options for joining and leaving the cycle track over the viaduct are more limited than a cursory look at the map would suggest.
Most of this route is on surfaced cycle tracks, roads and pavements, but there are field paths between Sutton and High Marnham, between Harby and Eagle and from Eagle past Whisby Quarry

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
