23 Mar 2022I followed this route from Sutton Coldfield. At SP 1294 9677 the route takes you away from a road which takes you out of the grounds of Good Hope Hospital and takes you on a route to leave via a car park through a gate. On arrival in the car park the gate was padlocked and the entire area was fenced off with no access to the road. I retraced my steps back to the road out of the grounds and on reaching SP 1302 9687, discovered there is also a padlocked iron fence on the other side. Neither of these look like they've been open for some time.

02 Feb 2022Good route easy to follow from Town to Countryside
Taking you along road woods fields and a canal towpath
Passing through Middleton with The Green Man pub worth a visit
Bridge over Gallows Brook by Middleton still not repaired so a scramble.

12 Jan 2022Leisurely stroll through suburbs and the quaint english conuntryside. A bit muddy in places, and a fair bit on roads or verges, but most of route is on solid terrain and easy to navigate. Funky bridge too.

23 Mar 2022That's an interesting mystery. I see from Google SV that it was blocked from 2008 to 2015 then in 2016 the latest GSV it is open. Perhaps it had a temporary opening for some reason. A review of reviewers is called for.
