Description
Safe, direct and pleasant route mainly using roads between settlements. Route leaves Sutton Coldfield via New Hall Valley Country Park along Plants Brook. It then follows pavements through Walmley and then there is a spot of verge walking down a lane before it crosses a bridge over the A38. Pavements take it through Minworth and beyond. A pack horse bridge crosses the River Tame into Water Orton. The pavements beyond Water Orton take it through an underpass under the M6 Toll and M42. Crossing the A446 requires timing the traffic lights as there is no "green man" but there is a pedestrian island midway. From there remains only more pavement walking until the end at Coleshill via Coleshill Parkway Railway Station and a charming bridge over the River Cole. Rest stops at Walmley (3.5 km), Minworth (6.5km) and Water Orton (9km). Bus routes throughout. Railway stations at Water Orton and Coleshill Parkway

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
