27 Oct 2021This is a pleasant mainly off-road route, popular with local people. It is a green route in the main, only meeting main city roads at the start and finish.
It follow an old canal path that is now a shared footpath/cycleway and then goes along the top of the Thames Water Northern Outfall Sewer (known as The Greenway) from which there are great views across the city.
There is no shelter on most of this route and no shade on the Greenway part of it, so a sun hat or waterproof may be useful depending on the weather.
The off-road sections are lit by modern streetlights. The whole route is on good paths.
