Description
This offers a quieter route via Beech Road with more off-road sections, in particular it follows the Fallowfield Loop as far as possible from Chorlton (St Werburghs Road tram stop). It also avoids the section of public footpath along Chorlton Brook between Nell Lane and Mauldeth Road West which tends to be overgrown and muddy

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

15 Sep 2023Hard to think of a route from Fallowfield to Stretford that is more traffic-free yet also direct. Passing through part of the Fallowfield Loop, the route then soon reaches Beech Road, where you’ll find lots of choice for refreshments and quirky shops. Once through Chorlton Green, you reach Turn Moss playing fields. The ground here can be a little hard to negotiate with a standard buggy, but we managed it just about, and although the bollards at the exit didn’t leave much space, we managed to squeeze through.
