Report

A flat, fairly accessible and somewhat direct route between Fallowfield and Stretford. A major issue for anyone with a buggy or wheelchair is the entrance to Turn Moss playing fields at the Stretford end. As you can see from my photo, there are three bollards blocking the entrance, making it impassable for anyone but walkers or cyclists. There are steps on Mauldeth Road too that make it very difficult/impossible for wheelchairs and buggies, although this section of the route is easily circumvented by using Mauldeth Road and Nell Lane instead.

An alternative would be to access the Fallowfield loop at St Werburgh’s Road and then exiting on Athol Road (or the other way around). Step free access, no traffic on the Fallowfield loop and slightly more direct I think.
