Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Jun 2023This is a solid Slow Way with lots to enjoy, especially along the green and heritage rich canal. The route line is a little crude, but it can be followed easily enough when compared to the basemap.
There were some diversions by Ebley Mill due to some works on the canal when I walked this. We crossed the canal and diverted to the B4008 briefly before coming back down a footpath to the north bank of the canal again.
I should think some locals have some good alternatives to this route that could be added.

28 Jan 2023This walk was easy to navigate. A pleasant, flat route with lots of information about the history of the canal and it's buildings. Some bits might be tricky for wheelchair users although we saw people with buggies on the path.

22 Aug 2022Very easy to follow along the old canal, with interesting explanation boards en route re industrial heritage of area. Some road noise as close to main road (and small amount of road side walking into Stonehouse).
