Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 Feb 2022I "started" this route from Stone, well "started" isn't really the word. I stood at the starting point and looked in the direction of where it wanted me to go. The right of way is marked on the map and you can clearly see where the level crossing was. But it isn't anymore and I don't recall it being so for some time. The fastest I have ever failed a Slow Way. I shall submit a corrected version of this route.

26 Apr 2021Nice and pleasant walk along the canal from the pottery town of Stoke to Stone. A bit boring during the first mile after Stoke but it gets better.
After Trentham, it can get a little muddy in winter.
