Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

18 Apr 2023I was looking forward to giving a 3rd positive review and validate the route - but - there is a building site where the route should go, and so, like the previous reviewers, I found myself walking along the river Wandle in Ravensbury Park. Since this is clearly the preferred routing, I think the time has come to make it ‘official’, and I’ll put up a new route option.

11 Jan 2023Mainly quiet roads. Morden Recreation Ground is pleasant. I also went through Ravensbury Park before crossing Morden Road to Belgrave Walk which adds a short distance. Shops at each end.

27 Apr 2021A fascinating walk through quiet residential streets and parks. I suggest a small change to include Ravensbury Park and the River Wandle. At the end of The Drive, where it meets Wandle Road, cross Wandle Road into Ravensbury Park immediately opposite. Follow the wide path round to the right and alongside the River Wandle for 200m to a bridge across the river on the left. Cross the bridge and continue across Ravensbury Meadow opposite, towards a playground then past it to the park exit on Morden Road. There is a cafe on the left here. Cross Morden Road, turn left and in 100m turn right on the path towards Belgrave Walk tram stop, then continue on the original route.
