Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 Sep 2024This was a pleasant and easy walk, though it didn’t take us along the coastal path as much as we had hoped. We made a detour to enjoy some stunning coastal views, which was worth the extra effort. The route passes through Solva, a charming little town that became the highlight of the journey for us. While the walk itself was straightforward and scenic in parts, more coastal exposure would have been a bonus. Overall, it’s a nice blend of rural and coastal proximity, but be prepared to veer off the main path if you want to fully experience the coast.

10 Aug 2024Enjoyed going through Solva, this was my favourite part but the walk doesnt take you too much on the coast which I would have enjoyed. Some nice scenic and rural areas though.

10 Aug 2024 (edited 15 Sep 2024)Shame that the walk doesnt take you the coastal path. Worth exploring Solva though, a beautiful little town which it takes you through. Rather easy and straightforward walk but we detoured to see the coast and then continued with the slow ways route. Parts of it were near the coast though, just the end toward Newgale.
