Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

07 Feb 2023I set off from Standish to walk this route, but at ///idea.guess.snake it looked so endlessly muddy ahead that I followed the path to the left which is on OS Maps as a bridleway, then walked WSW along the lane until ///flying.chat.tags, where I couldn’t find any clear footpaths in either direction through the woods, where OS Maps just shows dotted black lines. I decided to give up and follow the public right of way lanes instead to create my own route. I think the walked footpaths may have changed over time, so I’m concerned about accuracy. This also provided the opportunity to stay longer in Mesnes Park as suggested by Stearsb. The parts of this route that I walked were generally pleasant though.

03 Sep 2021A really enjoyable walk, really good paths for the most part, a narrow gate and some sloping earth paths ~ 17 degrees. The path splits close to ///idea.guess.snake I walked the suggested route (straight on) but the path to the left looked to be better, and it avoided a steep, but short, bank at ///flying.chat.tags.
Rather than heading to Parsons walk at ///label.flute.cube I walked through the very pleasant park and joined it at ///badly.cage.circle.
